The art of
landscape photography is capturing the subject or scene at the
precise moment when time is perfectly coordinated with nature. The
pristine Irish countryside offers this moment of harmony to the
willing artist. Much of my work is a process of seizing that moment
with the area or landscape to be photographed and feeling the
inspiration from the subject. I try to capture the aesthetic
value of simplicity and natural hues.
Photography has been a life long passion for
me. Now that I am semi retired I have more time to devote to
learning the new technology of digital photography and the workflow
processes. This retirement has also given me the time to take
photography trips, attend seminars and workshops, and take online
courses. At this point in my life, the Berks Photographic Society
is a valuable asset for me to continue learning the art of
photography. I was also fortunate to be a member of Gallery 20
located in West Reading, Pa and to exhibit my work in monthly shows.
I have also
exhibited my work at the following venues: The GoggleWorks, The
Reading Public Museum, Wyomissing Institute Of The Arts, The
Highlands Of Wyomissing, Canal Street Restaurant, The Grandview
Gallery, Cloud Nine Café, Max Crema’s Espresso and Coffee Bar,
Border’s Books, City-Espresso, and Oak Leaf Manor Retirement
Community. My work can also be seen at Sunshine Blue Skies on
Broadcasting Road and Reading Music Academy located at 609 Penn
Avenue, West Reading.
