LISA SHARER – Cello; Suzuki Instruction; Reading Music Academy Director
Ms.
Sharer received her master’s degree in music from Florida
State University and her bachelor’s degree from West Chester
University. She has also completed coursework at FSU for a
Ph.D. in music education. Her teaching experiences include
positions as orchestra director in the Carlisle Area School
District (PA), the Wilson School District (PA), The Florida
State University Research and Development School (FL), Eleanor
Roosevelt High School (MD) and the Fleetwood Area School
District (PA). Ms. Sharer worked extensively with the
Tallahassee Symphony Youth Orchestra program and was selected
as assistant to the director, Dr. Alex Jimenez. She is the
immediate past president of the Maryland Orchestra Director’s
Association. Ms. Sharer has served as an educator clinician,
adjudicator and guest conductor in Florida, Georgia, Virginia,
Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Ms.
Sharer is a registered member of the Suzuki Association of the
Americas for Piano Book 1, Violin Book 1 and Cello Books 1 –
4. Teacher trainers include Pamela Davenport, Annette
Constanzi, Martha Shackford and Pat Pavlick. She also holds
memberships in the Music Educators National Conference (MENC),
the American String Teachers Association (ASTA), Pi Kappa
Lamda and Sigma Alpha Iota.
Ms.
Sharer has studied cello with Eugene Klein, Jeffrey Solow, and
Lubomir Georgiev. She has performed with many regional
orchestras including the Pottstown Symphony Orchestra (PA),
Reading Symphony Orchestra (PA), Lancaster Symphony Orchestra
(PA), Maryland Chamber Orchestra (MD), Arlington Symphony
Orchestra (VA), Pensacola Symphony Orchestra (FL) and
Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra (FL). She has played for the
International Opera Festival Peru (Lima). In addition, Ms.
Sharer completed graduate studies on viola da gamba and has
been a member of early music ensembles in Pennsylvania and
Florida.
NEIL FRONHESIER – Violin, Viola
Mr.
Fronheiser received a master’s degree in violin performance
from the University of Oregon bachelor’s degrees in both
violin performance and music education from Ithica College. He
further studied at the Aspen Summer Music Festival (Colorado),
Adriatic Chamber Music Festival (Bonfero, Italy), and Temple
University. Mr. Fronhesier has participated in master classes
with Jasper Wood, Ani Kavafian and the American String
Quartet. He has performs regularly with the Reading Symphony
and Schuylkill Symphony Orchestras.
